Details Warehouse Steps & Column:
Above you see an opening in the side of a warehouse that we had cut out above the inside floor level. We then had to form the column and place the steel ( 4 #5 rebar with hoops) each at 12" separation. The rebar had to be placed in a hole through the top and bottom concrete and set with Epoxy. The stairs were formed as a mono pour into the 2 footers with a stem wall on the left up to the platform level. The stem wall has ( 4 #5 vertical rebar) tied to the #5 rebar that is Epoxyed into the wall ( horizontally ) and resting on high chairs set on a tar paper sheet. The platform has 4 or 5 #5 rebar that has Epoxy into the wall and extending out approximately 1 1\2" shy of the form. There are 6 #5 rebar running down the 6" continuous section of the steps and are tied into the stem wall and the lower footer. Each step has a #5 rebar that has Epoxy, and is also usefull to catch the continuous rebar. The lower footer has 3 #5 rebar that has Epoxy into the concrete and extending out to catch the continuous rebar. We used a pump mix of 3000LBS per square inch to pour the steps and column.
