Floor Plans:

The plan above is my office in Jupiter Fla. This office is for Interior Design and my construction office. This was the best plan for this space to get the most out of it.

The plan above is a simple plan used for furniture layout only.

The plan above is of a first floor in Jupiter Fla. This plan is a more complete plan than the one above. This plan not only shows a furniture layout but also electrical, cable and phone placement. A very important part of this type plan is to place all lighting to fall in the right locations.

The plan above is a very detailed drawing and took over 4 weeks to produce. Notice the closets with what looks like black strips between the shelves are fluorescent lights. All the symbols I have created over the years are the exact size scaled down for the drawing output. Therefore when a client looks at a floor plan and sees light fixtures they can see how much of the room it will take up. This is very helpful in making final decisions before the house is built.

The plan above is one of the most time consuming plans I have done. First I had to do a take-off of the architects drawing which was hand drawn and not accurate. This created a problem because the walls didn't meet. So back and forth to the architect that had drawn the plan to try to interpret what size was really needed. After the process of getting the outline, than the real fun began. All electrical had to be placed and therefore all furniture had to be designed and picked in order to place it. Between the 3 and 4 way switches and all the high hats etc. this was an interesting project. I did not build this house but I was hired as a construction consultant and supervisor.
